From the Philippine Daily Inquirer (May 13): Cop dead in NPA ambush in Quezon
A policeman was killed and another was wounded in an ambush by suspected New People’s Army (NPA) members in Barangay Tagusao in Quezon town on Monday.
Palawan police chief Senior Supt. David Martinez said Paduga was with two other policemen to serve an arrest warrant in the village when fired upon by about 10 to 15 armed men. Redempto Anda, Inquirer Southern Luzon

Killed was PO3 Roniel Paduga. The wounded, identified in the initial police report only as PO3 Atrero, was airlifted to a Puerto Princesa hospital.
