From the Philippine News Agency (Apr 14): First Light Armored Cavalry troop is best unit for separate company for Q1
CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, GAMU, ISABELA -- The 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (5ID-PA) First Armored Cavalry Troop was adjudged as Best Unit for Separate Company category for the first quarter in a search conducted by the Philippine Army.
Army Sergeant Louie Tamayo of 5ID, Philippine Army armored cavalry troop based here, said that among the seven armored cavalry troop in the country, the first armored cavalry troop of 5ID was adjudged as best among the seven troops.
Sergeant Tamayo said the armored cavalry troop received a total score of 70.18% overall score and adjudged as winner for the first quarter.
Tamayo said that in the last quarter of 2013, his troop was adjudged as second and he is hopeful that in the next quarter of this year, the armored cavalry troop of 5th Infantry Division will be retained in the succeeding quarters.
He said the cooperation of every unit of the army division has resulted in the recognition. The personnel, intelligence, operation, logistic, communication, civil military and training has contributed in the award received by the cavalry troop of the 5th Infantry Division.
