From the Philippine News Agency (Mar 21): 5 army scout rangers hurt in road mishaps
Five scout rangers assigned with the army’s 4th Infantry Division in Bukidnon were hurt in a road accident in Bugo, 10 kilometers east of here, Thursday night, a police report said on Friday.
Police Officer Armando Agravante, of the Puerto Police Precinct, identified the injured soldiers as SSgt. Michael Jason Dumanalis, Cpl. Rolando Manicap, TSgt. Adroline Bolivar, Pvt. Mark Dennis Diaz, and Pvt. Michael Mendres, all members of the army’s scout ranger battalion.
Agravante said that the soldiers were immediately transported to theArmy Hospital in Camp Evangelista in Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victims were on board a military truck from Bukidnon en route toButuan City for a “military mission” when their service vehicle collided with a private dump truck about 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
Agravante did not disclose the details of the collision except that the incident is now being investigated.
