From InterAksyon (Mar 14): Soldier, 'MNLF commander' nabbed for gunrunning
A soldier and a supposed commander of the Moro National Liberation Front were among three men arrested this week in South Cotabato for gunrunning.
Benjie Celebrar, 27, the soldier, Omar Liman, 45, the reported MNLF commander, and Ranny Poras, 38, were arrested Wednesday in Barangay Rotonda, Koronadal City by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group office in South Cotabato.
An unlicensed M16 Armalite rifle was seized from the three.
Senior Inspector Jesson Mocnangan, CIDG-South Cotabato chief, said the three had been under surveillance for some time.
He said the suspects would wear military uniforms to get past checkpoints.
