From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 11): NPA female leader with P2.05-M reward , two others arrested
A top female leader of the New People's Army (NPA) with P2.05 million reward on her head, together with her two companions, were arrested Tuesday by the joint military and police operations in Barangay Poblacion, Sagada, Mountain Province.
This was disclosed on Wednesday by Major Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang, commander of the Northern Luzon Command (Nolcom) who identified the arrested NPA member as Lolita Loquibis.
Loquibis is currently the finance and logistic officer of Kilusang Larangan Guirrilla (KLG) MARCO inMountain Province with six warrants of arrest for murder.
Catapang said the police and military troops also recovered subversive documents, electronic devices and P200,000 cash.
He said the identities of the arrested two others are still being verified as well as their relationship with Loquibis.
“By continuous cooperation and joint efforts of our PNP (Philippine National Police), military troops and other government agency, we can achieve the lasting peace in the region, "Catapang said.
Likewise, he said that peace, progress and prosperity can be attained through the collaboration of concerned elected government official.
